Illumination of the “Yellow Viaduct” over the railway tracks along Jana z Kolna Street in Gdańsk.
As part of the revitalisation of one of the city’s key transport links — the viaduct over the railway tracks connecting Jana z Kolna Street with Zwycięstwa Avenue — the lighting design was delivered using MP2 RGBW LED luminaires.
This historic viaduct, modernised and adapted for pedestrian, cycling and vehicular traffic, has gained a contemporary illumination scheme that not only improves visibility and user safety, but also strengthens its presence within the city’s night-time landscape.
Why does RGBW technology in MP2 luminaires make a difference?
The use of RGBW (red, green, blue + white) enables not only a full spectrum of colours, but also high-quality white light. This allows the lighting to seamlessly combine expressive colour effects with functional white illumination wherever it is required. Dynamic lighting scenes can be programmed and adapted to city events, themed nights or seasonal changes.
